And thank you for visiting my site! I’m Erkka, an internationally awarded miniature artist and a pedagogically trained teacher from Finland.
As an artist I pride myself in my versatility, as I enjoy working with a variety of scales and subjects, ranging from small 32 mm heroic scale figures to larger 1:8 busts and the like, all the way from fantasy to historicals.
Like many of us, I like stories. Telling them through my works is what best gets me invested in a project. A lot of the inspiration behind my work comes from humanity, emotions, nature, fairy tales, mythology and popular culture, and these themes tend to often be present in a lot of my pieces.

Resin Beast Online 2020, 2021 & 2022: Category winner all three years that the competition was organized.
Multiple medals and Best in Show -awards in many of the biggest painting competitions and scale model shows in Finland.
Other stuff
Commissions & collaborations: I’m experienced in doing commission work, having done both box art for companies and work for private collectors. I’m only taking a very limited amount of commission work currently, for more details check the “Contact” -page.
Teaching: I’m a trained teacher with a Masters degree in Education and years of teaching experience. Bringing this pedagogical knowledge into the miniatures world comes to me naturally when for example giving feedback and teaching workshops.
Ropecon Miniature Painting Competition: I’ve been a part of the team behind organizing and judging Finland’s biggest figure-focused painting competition since 2022.
Cold Tones Society: Founding member of Cold Tones Society, a community for display painters in Finland with the purpose of developing the local painting scene through community efforts and events.
